Human Reproduction

Male Reproductive System
Includes testes, accessory ducts, glands, and external genitalia. Testes are located in the scrotum to maintain low temperature for spermatogenesis.
Female Reproductive System
Consists of ovaries, oviducts (Fallopian tubes), uterus, cervix, vagina, and external genitalia along with mammary glands.
Gametogenesis
The process of formation of gametes. Spermatogenesis in males (sperm production) and Oogenesis in females (ovum production).
Menstrual Cycle
The reproductive cycle in female primates. Phases: Menstrual, Follicular (Proliferative), Ovulatory, and Luteal (Secretory).
Fertilisation & Implantation
Fertilisation occurs in the Ampulla of the Fallopian tube. The zygote undergoes cleavage to form a Blastocyst, which implants in the uterine wall (Endometrium).
